STAN HONDA/AFP/Getty ImagesJay-Z and Beyoncé are two of the most powerful people in the music industry according to a new list from Billboard.  The power couple share a spot at #13 on Billboard's Power 100 among names such as  Jimmy Iovine, Lyor Cohen and other, behind-the-scenes power players. 

The new parents made the list not only because of their record-shattering musical careers -- he holds the record for the most #1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart with 12, she's sold 29 million albums between her solo career and her work with Destiny's Child -- but also because of their outside business ventures.  Beyonce has launched her House of Dereon clothing line  and raked in deals with L'Oreal, Coty and Target as well as making her mark on the silver screen, winnng an Academy Award for her part in Dreamgirls.  Jay gets props for his role as a music exec who helped launch the careers of Kanye West, Rihanna and J.Cole.  After moving on from his role as CEO of Def Jam Records, Jay went on to broker a very lucrative deal with Live Nation that led to the creation of his entertainment company Roc Nation.

In addition to Hova's many business ventures, he and Beyonce also stand as cultural icons -- noted for their relationships with other heavy-hitters like Warren Buffet and Will Smith.

Jacopo Raule/Getty Images(LONDON) -- Not long after filming her movie debut in the upcoming action-adventure film Battleship, Rihanna is taking her talents to the small screen. She’s signed on to produce and appear in a new British television show in which fashion designers will compete to create outfits for musicians and other celebrities, according to British television network Sky Living, which will air the series this summer.  The winner will get the honor of crafting an outfit for Rihanna’s Barclaycard Wireless performance in London’s Hyde Park in July.

“I’ve always had a great love of fashion,” Rihanna told Sky Living.  “It’s a constant source of inspiration in my life, and is a big reason why I’ve grown into the person and artist I am today.”

The You Da One singer will have a major part in the casting process in addition to appearing on the show and serving as an executive producer.  British pop star Nicola Roberts will host the series.  There’s no word yet on whether the show will air on American television.
